Meet the Speaker:

Murray Paul

Director of Public Affairs, Jaguar Land Rover

Murray has been at JLR since 2018. On joining the business, he held roles within the Product Strategy team specifically looking at the future of emissions legislation and the evolution of the electrification plan and its role in meeting future legislative requirements and the business’ environmental responsibilities. During this time Murray led a cross organisational team that calculated and proposed JLR’s Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) decarbonisation targets which delivers on JLR’s collective responsibility to realise a 1.5⁰C scenario across all scopes of emissions. In addition, Murray led a detailed study into the future of a Hydrogen economy and JLR’s subsequent direction for Hydrogen.

Murray assumed responsibility for Public Affairs in 2021. Public Affairs are responsible for JLR’s relationships with the UK Government at both a national and regional level, the EU and its Member States, the Global Diplomatic Corps and the British Royal Family. 

Before joining JLR, Murray spent 16 years in the British Army, having commissioned into The Staffordshire Regiment in 2003, serving in a variety of roles both in the UK and overseas.
