Taxation Forum Presents: The 2012 U.K. and U.S. Personal Taxation Update
Event date: Thursday July 12th 2012
Our panel will examine the changes and outlook for the personal taxation regime in the UK. To the welcome surprise of many in the business community the top rate of income tax was reduced to 45% in Chancellor Osborne’s March Budget, however as continuing anaemic economic growth depresses the recovery doubts still remain as to the effectiveness of the current personal taxation regime with many calling for further reductions and simplifications.
Our panel will also examine the current picture in the United States, where the run up to the Presidential Election in particular, as well as recent sobering projections for the US deficit has exposed underlying issues and produced markedly different solutions going forward
Speakers:
- Alex Jones, Director, Deloitte LLP
- Carlo Gray, Director, Buzzacott
