About the Site Redesign:  In response to changing technologies and the needs of our membership, the BritishAmerican Businessnc.org website has be redesigned with these key points in mind:

• Content Management - Our membership requires regular and up to date information.  By refocusing our efforts on content management, we hope to provide up to date and valuable information about our organization, membership, and the world we do business in.
• Navigation - This new focus on keeping the site simple to use ensures that all of our members and visitors to the site will be able to find what they are looking for quickly and easily.  Our new navigation structure puts every page no more than two to three clicks away.  A new site map and search features facilitate visitors finding what they are looking for.
• Format - Keeping with the times, BritishAmerican Business has consciously reformatted textual and navigation elements to be easier to read and use.  The site now uses modern CSS and HTML/DHTML technologies to ensure consistent presentation.  Key pages now also incorporate a built in print function to make it easier for site visitors to print important information.
• Printing and Available Document Downloads - In order to facilitate visitor interaction, we have included a new "Print This Page" feature on the majority of BritishAmerican Businessnc.org web pages.  Clicking the icon or link will filter the page content and present a more printer friendly page for users to print off for offline reading.  Documents available on the BritishAmerican Businessnc.org website will be of either Word2000 or Adobe PDF format.
• Search - The BritishAmerican Businessnc.org website now incorporates several feature rich search engines in order to aid site visitors in finding what they are looking for.  You may use Boolean functions and wildcards in your site searches.  Results are displayed in a percentage of relevancy format.
• Archival Features - Old content, rather than being discarded, will be archived in noted sections.  This will make it easier to know what is considered current information, as well as giving site visitors the ability to take a look at older information that may still hold some relevancy.
• Communications - The London based forums now have their own sub-websites upon which to center their activities and communicate with the membership and each other.  A new message board system, one that is streamlined and easy to use, ensures members can talk to each other about issues that concern them in a focused and useful way.

Technical Specifications:  We recommend that visitors to our site use a modern browser that is compliant with HTML 3 and 4 specifications.  Your browser should be also be able to handle Java script 1.1 and 1.2 as well as CSS.  Internet Explorer 6 and Netscape 6.1, as well as Mozilla 1.1a will give you the best experience in browsing this site.

Visitors are also given the recommendation to set their desktop resolution to 800x600 or higher, with a color depth of 32bits (full color) to view this site as intended.

Why isn't my browser supported?

 

This site does not support older browser, such as IE 4 and NS 4, due to their outdated standards support under W3C guidelines.  Opera is not recommended due to problems with the software rendering W3C compliant HTML and CSS, as well as Javascript 1.2. If you are experiencing rendering problems with the BritishAmerican Business website, we recommend check your browser version and possibly download a newer version of your browser, specifically IE 6 or Mozilla 1.1a or Netscape 6.1+.

ADA Compliance
