BritishAmerican Business Announces Re-Launch of Healthcare Forum

BritishAmerican Business is pleased to announce the re-launch of the Healthcare Forum.

One of 12 sector-based forums, the Healthcare Forum will provide a unique opportunity for members to engage with others within the healthcare industry; help generate events based on topical issues on the transatlantic healthcare agenda, and advance the policy concerns of members in the healthcare sector.

The Forum welcomes New Chairman Dr. Tibor Papp, Head of PharmaVentures Corporate Advisory, who brings a wealth of experience and insight of the industry to the role.

Tibor is a senior leadership advisor with two decades of experience in the global healthcare/life sciences industry in the area of corporate strategy, portfolio development, business transformation, licensing/M&A, market strategy, and risk management. He has worked with top healthcare and private equity companies on their growth strategies in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, drug delivery systems, and medical supplies globally.

Additionally, he is also an experienced orthopaedic surgeon, with a PhD from the University of Aberdeen and an MBA from the University of Oxford, Said Business School.

In late September the re-launched Healthcare Forum held its first meeting and participants represented a range of sectors including Law, Insurance and Pharmaceuticals. The meeting was a great success, generating much discussion and ideas for future events. With high profile speakers already pencilled in, the event programme for 2010 looks forward to covering topics such as US Healthcare Reform under the Obama Administration and the public perception of the Pharmaceutical industry.
