McGuireWoods Brussels Reinforces its EU Competitive Edge
BRUSSELS – In a significant move, McGuireWoods LLP’s Brussels office has announced the appointment of Matthew Hall as a Partner in the firm’s EU Competition practice. He was previously with Ashurst in Brussels, where he was a Partner in their EU and Competition department, involved in a wide range of high-profile competition and public procurement law matters.
Hall’s move to McGuireWoods is a further indication of the firm’s ongoing European expansion. Although based in Brussels, Hall will support clients of both McGuireWoods’ London and Brussels offices, and will also work closely with clients of the well-established antitrust group across McGuireWoods 15 U.S. offices.
Hubert André-Dumont, Managing Partner Brussels said "We are pleased to welcome Matthew Hall, whose top quality EU law experience will allow the Brussels office to increase its offer for services in EU law, more particularly in the areas of competition and public procurement. These areas, combined with the existing practice of the Brussels office in general European business law aspects, will allow the McGuireWoods’ Brussels office to better respond to client demands in an increasingly complex legal world.”
Hall also expressed his pleasure at the appointment, stating, "I am delighted to have joined McGuireWoods LLP in Brussels, and look forward to contributing to the further development of its EU and UK competition and public procurement law practices. The firm has strong and well-established Brussels and London offices which are responding to client demand for further expertise in these areas of practice."
McGuireWoods LLP is a full-service law firm with more than 900 lawyers in 18 offices in the United States, Europe and Central Asia providing legal counsel to clients around the world.
