Marsh Chairman Dan Glaser Leads BritishAmerican Business CEO Roundtable:

NEW YORK, January 14, 2010 – Dan Glaser, chairman and CEO of Marsh Inc., the world’s leading insurance broker and risk advisor, led a CEO Roundtable on "Leadership in the Face of Adversity" held in New York yesterday by BritishAmerican Business.

Mr. Glaser joined Marsh in 2007, and has since orchestrated a steady improvement of the firm’s performance through a series of initiatives. These have included restructuring of the operating platform, implementing efficient processes across the global organization, investing in supportive technologies, focusing on client needs, and deploying resources in pursuit of growth opportunities. He began his career at Marsh in 1982 and rejoined the firm after serving with American International Group in London as managing director of AIG Europe (UK) Limited and the AIU Regional President, UK/Ireland Division.

"While these continue to be difficult times for many businesses, there’s no question that effective leadership can help a firm navigate through challenges and set a course for sustained growth over the long term," said Mr. Glaser. "I’m honored to participate in this timely BritishAmerican Business forum to examine what defines effective leadership in times of adversity."

In leading the roundtable discussion, Mr. Glaser drew upon his experiences on both sides of the Atlantic and their application to fostering a company's renaissance.

A former chairman of BritishAmerican Business, Mr. Glaser added, "BritishAmerican Business is all about the art of the possible – fostering connectivity, innovation and growth. These qualities are ever more important to a world that hungers for pathways to survival, success and realization of long sought-after goals during times of adversity and challenge."
