BAB Appoints New Managing Director in London

BritishAmerican Business, the leading transatlantic business organization, announced today that it has appointed Jeffries Briginshaw, currently EU Director for the Transatlantic Business Dialogue in Brussels, to be its Managing Director in London in succession to Peter Hunt, who is standing down after almost seven years in this role.

“Peter Hunt has done an outstanding job of building our membership, programming and policy agenda in London, so we are delighted to have recruited such an excellent candidate as Jeffries Briginshaw to succeed him’, commented Richard Fursland, CEO of BritishAmerican Business.

‘Given his successful previous career in the corporate world on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as his current role in Brussels, Jeffries brings us  a great combination of corporate and policy experience, as well as a successful track record running an influential transatlantic business organization.’

Jeffries will lead BAB’s professional staff in London, and join Richard Fursland and Wendy Mendenhall, BAB’s Managing Director in New York, on BAB’s transatlantic executive leadership team.

Gary von Lehmden, Chairman of BritishAmerican Business, added: “I am confident that, with this excellent appointment, we will continue the remarkable track record that BritishAmerican Business has established over its first ten years, of continuously growing its membership, programming, standing and reputation in the business community on both sides of the Atlantic’.
