The Rt Hon Greg Hands, Minister of State for Trade Policy said:
“I’m delighted to see such a variety of innovative British businesses showcased in this report, illustrating the breadth and depth of our trading relationship with the US.
“By removing, lowering and simplifying trade barriers, a UK-US free trade agreement will not only benefit 31,600 UK-based SMEs who already trade with the US – like those highlighted today – but will also encourage more of the UK’s 5.9 million small businesses to explore trade opportunities in the US.”
Duncan Edwards, CEO, BritishAmerican Business said:
“The stories told in this publication serve to illustrate the enduring strength and opportunity of the transatlantic trade and investment relationship as a driver for growth and innovation, particularly in these times where the UK and the US seek to negotiate a Free Trade Agreement.
“Responsible for over 1.3 million jobs in the United States, British companies play an important role in the American economy, and as these stories show, in the world, by delivering forward-looking technology and innovation.
Emanuel Adam, Director of Policy and Trade, and Project Lead, BritishAmerican Business said:
“What these stories illustrate is that there is a deeper, real-world impact beyond simple economics that the transatlantic trade and investment relationship delivers to innovative British companies who operate in the US.
“BAB is delighted to play its role in telling these stories, which demonstrate the importance of this relationship linking our two countries.”
“We hope that these inspiring torchbearers pave the way for more British companies to turn towards the transatlantic partnership as a source of growth and innovation in for their business.”
