An Update From BritishAmerican Business Regarding the Coronavirus Disease/COVID-19
13 March 2020
With the continuing public health challenges presented by the Coronavirus disease/COVID-19, BAB has decided to suspend its in-person convening program for groups larger than 20 people for 6 weeks, or until circumstances change. We have also taken the decision to postpone the Transatlantic Finance Forum which was due to take place in New York City on May 6th. We are working with our host, Citi, to find a new date in the fall and will confirm as soon as we can.
The winners of our Transatlantic Growth (TAG) Awards will be announced and presented online but the physical event on March 30th in London has been postponed until further notice.
Clearly as a convening organization which hosts more than 120 events a year this is a real challenge but suspending the program is the right thing to do and reflects current public health advice.
We will be reviewing our program and, wherever we can, we will be providing on-line, virtual access to our content.
We also understand that for many of our members, this global health crisis is having a huge impact and their full attention is on the wellbeing of their employees, their customers and their business.
