Angus is co-Chair of Direct Wines, best known in the UK for Laithwaites, Avery’s, and the Sunday Times Wine Club. He is also a non-Executive Director of  Hilton Food Group plc and Chair of the Trustees of the Professional Cricketers Association Futures Fund.

In his executive career, Angus held senior positions at Mars (including five years as UK Marketing Director), BT Group plc (as Managing Director, Consumer Division), Abbey National (as Customer Director), Added Value (as CEO), and the Professional Cricketers Association (as CEO).

Angus has held Non-Executive Directorships in the retail, financial services, hospitality and technology sectors. 

Prior to his career in industry, Angus was a Research Fellow of Churchill College, Cambridge, having previously graduated and received a PhD whilst at Jesus College.

Away from work, Angus umpires regularly in the England Hockey National League, and is Chairman of his cricket club.
