BritishAmerican Business Signs Coalition Letter Calling for the Exclusion of J-1 Visas from Future Restrictions on Employment-Based Immigration

London/New York – Today, BritishAmerican Business co-signed a letter to Secretary Pompeo alongside other 105 organisations from a range of sponsors, businesses and industries that recruit, host and support the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program. The letter urges the United States government to exclude the Exchange Visitor Program from any future executive actions suspending employment-based immigration, reflecting concerns that Section 6 of the April 22 Presidential proclamation suspending immigration may include the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program.
