A Statement from BritishAmerican Business in Response to the UK and US Completing the First Round of FTA Negotiations

Our transatlantic business community is pleased to see the first round of negotiations for a UK-US Free Trade Agreement successfully completed. We note and welcome the comprehensive approach taken to the talks and the special emphasis on Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises – both of which our community had hoped for. We are also encouraged by the fact that the talks could be held virtually, so the window of opportunity for the deal can be used in the interest of our two countries.
