Christopher Perry, Chairman of the Board of BritishAmerican Business, announced today the appointment of Duncan Edwards as its Chief Executive Officer. Edwards, a media executive with over 30 years of experience, spent 27 years at New York City-based Hearst Corporation, most recently as President and CEO of its international magazine and digital media company, Hearst Magazines International.
‘‘We are excited to have Duncan joining BAB as our CEO,” said Perry, who serves as President of Global Sales, Marketing and Client Solutions at Broadridge Financial Solutions (NYSE: BR) in addition to Chair of BAB. “As a British national and former executive of a U.S. corporation, Duncan understands and is well equipped to represent the challenges our BAB members face conducting business in both the U.S. and the U.K.”
“The history and economic value of trade and investment between the U.S. and UK is one of the world’s great economic success stories,” said Edwards. “BAB members represent a significant part of driving that trade value and I look forward to working with our members and governmental representatives from both countries to ensure that our trading relationship continues to be encouraged, facilitated and developed by all parties.”
“BAB members include some of the world’s largest and most significant companies and at a time of change, such as this, it is vital that their voice is heard,” said Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP and Chairman of the BAB International Advisory Board (comprised of over 90 worldwide Chairmen and CEOs). “Duncan will provide the leadership that ensures BAB will have a crucial and influential role in ensuring the continued success of transatlantic trade and investment.”
Duncan will begin on January 17, 2018
