Emanuel Adam, Director of Policy & Trade Comments on Possible Article 50 Delay
In response to Prime Minister Theresa May’s announcement that the UK may seek to extend the deadline of Brexit should no agreement be reached on 12 March 2019 and leaving the EU without a deal be rejected, Emanuel Adam, Director of Policy & Trade said:
“Any measure that avoids a no-deal scenario is certainly welcome by the transatlantic business community. However, a ‘short and limited extension to Article 50’ may not serve the purpose as it may only extend the uncertainty without offering much time to find an agreeable solution to the impasse the UK has found itself in.”
