Dan Glaser, President and CEO, Marsh & McLennan Companies, Appointed Chair of the BritishAmerican Business International Advisory Board
April 8, 2019
Dan Glaser, President and CEO of Marsh & McLennan Companies, has been appointed Chair of the International Advisory Board (IAB) of BritishAmerican Business (BAB) it was announced today by BAB CEO, Duncan Edwards. He succeeds Sir Martin Sorrell, who chaired the Advisory Board for 18 years and will remain a member of the IAB, and will be joined by a co-chair from a UK based company to be announced in due course.
Commenting on the changes, Duncan Edwards said, “I am delighted that Dan has accepted the Executive Board’s offer to chair our Advisory Board. As the CEO of a US company with more than 13,000 employees and a large and growing business footprint in the UK following Marsh & McLennan’s recent acquisition of Jardine Lloyd Thompson, his perspective on US-UK trade and investment is hugely valuable and relevant. He is also the former chairman of our Executive Board and knows BAB and our mission well.
“I would like to thank Sir Martin for his long service as Chair of the BAB Advisory Board; his support for BAB and our mission has been outstanding, and we are pleased that he will continue to be a part of BAB.”
Dan Glaser said, “During this time of change, BAB’s role as a convening and policy body for transatlantic businesses is more important than ever. I look forward to co-chairing the Advisory Board, which includes leaders from many top multinational companies, and continuing to work towards enhancing trade and investment between the US and UK.”
