David Boynton is Chief Executive of iconic British brand The Body Shop, where he has responsibility for the company’s business strategy and triple bottom line growth in almost 3000 stores, in more than 75 markets worldwide. He took the role in December 2017 following the acquisition of The Body Shop by Brazil’s best known beauty brand and sustainability leader, Natura Cosmeticos.
He previously held senior positions at a number of major high-street retailers and most recently was CEO of menswear company Charles Tyrwhitt. Prior to that he spent ten years at French beauty brand L’Occitane, where he was based in the US and part of a small global leadership group that took the company from 200m to over 1.2bn euro during that period. He has also held a number of senior management roles with A.S. Watson in Asia and supermarket group Safeway Plc in the UK.
David’s signature is the building of creative, action orientated organisations that deliver growth in markets around the world. His specific expertise is in leadership, culture building and all aspects of retail operations and marketing.
