Gavin Patterson served as President at Salesforce, from 2019-23, predominantly in the role of Chief Revenue Officer, leading sales, distribution and customer success of all products and services worldwide. Before joining Salesforce, he served as Chief Executive of BT Group between 2013-19, where he completed the UK rollout of Superfast Fiber and started the deployment of Ultrafast Fiber. He also led the £15 billion acquisition of mobile carrier EE and launched the digital TV channel BT Sport. His prior positions include general management and marketing roles at Virgin Media and Procter & Gamble.
Gavin has served on boards including FTSE100, privately held, private equity-owned and AIM-listed companies as well as several charities and educational establishments. Currently, he chairs Elixirr plc and sits on the board of Fractal Analytics and Mobilium and continues to act as an advisor and investor for several tech start-ups. He is the chair of HRH King Charles’s Business in the Community charity and serves on the Council of the London School of Economics and Social Science. He graduated from Cambridge University with an MA MEng in Chemical Engineering.
