Meet the Speaker: Jamie Lyon, Head of Skills, Sectors and Technology, ACCA

Jamie is based in London and leads a team of research, insight and policy experts who are dedicated to exploring the most significant issues impacting the business world today. His own particularly specialism is focused around human capital, covering areas such as the future of work, employee engagement, work-based skills for the future, talent management strategies, equity, diversity and inclusivity issues and the impact of technology on work. Across decades he has conducted global research, delivered thought leadership projects, storytelling and influence programmes that drive brand engagement, as well as broader policy engagement and conference speaking activities.   

Jamie also serves as an adviser at the International Federation of Accountants in New York and Business, Industry and Advisory Committee at the OECD. Before joining ACCA he qualified as an accountant in industry, spending his formative career at Marks and Spencer Plc and Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance Group where he worked in a variety of finance and accounting roles in the UK and Internationally.  He is particularly passionate about the Neurodiversity agenda at work and in the education system with personal and family experiences of the issue.
