Novicell becomes part of an international alliance that wants to transform the way in which companies buy and implement digital solutions

As the first Danish-owned consultancy, Novicell joins the ‘MACH Alliance’. The international tech alliance is a non-profit organization that advocates for open and best-of-breed enterprise technology ecosystems.

Companies become too slow at adapting to new business opportunities and requirements if they continue to believe that it is possible to consolidate their entire digital presence in one large platform. Instead the companies need to break down their major solutions into smaller and far more specialised best-of breed platforms that support the actual needs of the companies.

This is the perspective of Novicell, the first Danish-owned consultancy to become a member of the MACH Alliance, a global community of thought leaders, vendors, system integrators, enablers, as well as experts who have been through the entire transition already. Indeed, the Alliance aims to change the way companies buy and develop digital solutions in the future.

Instead of choosing one solution – with a strong possibility of choosing the wrong one – the Alliance supports decoupling the systems, and instead creating a solution that consists of the best, specialised solutions from around the world based on actual business needs. Consultants are included in the MACH only if they have demonstrated that they understand how to adopt this approach, says Adam Peter Nielsen, CTO of Novicell.

Fundamental change

The MACH Alliance’s approach to technology is a fundamental departure from how many companies have previously worked with digital solutions, explains Adam Peter Nielsen.

Many companies have opted for solutions based on personal preferences or history – or based on the technical skills of their consultants. Because the digital aspect is so business-critical for companies today, it is also necessary to choose platforms in a completely different way, he says and continues:

Instead of making one choice, which will define what you can do as a company for many years to come, you have to make many small choices that you can change as and when other solutions prove more suitable for the task or the requirements of the companies change. The solution should be built in a way that allows you to simply and without major investments replace one system part with another, says Adam Peter Nielsen.

About The MACH Alliance

The MACH Alliance is a non-profit organization, governed by an independent board and does not endorse specific vendors, members or otherwise. The Alliance was formed in June 2020 to help enterprise organizations navigate the complex modern technology landscape. It aims to guide and show the business advantage of open tech ecosystems that are Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS and Headless. All MACH Alliance members meet certification principles that are published on the website.
